Very good service.
Excellent company.
Customer service was great! There was a small problem with the part and they responded quickly and respectfully until was resolved! Highly recommended
Great pricing and fast shipping!
I'll admit that I was skeptical of propel parts, but they are an honest site and came through with the order. I was skeptical because I've never ordered heavy machinery parts, and didn't know who to trust. The parts that I ordered showed in stock, but after checking with their vendor, they only had half of the order in stock. I was notified the day after the order, and most of the parts arrived in a few days. There was one part that was not shipped putz but I was able to talk with who I assumed is the owner who rectified the situation and had the part overnighted to me.
I will say that communication speed could use a little work, but they will eventually get back with you.
Cat blade pins.
Easy transaction good web site.
Great Customer Service!
Had some difficulties with the website. Contacted customer service. Once I communicated the issues I was having Steven worked through getting my order processed and making sure I got my receipt and all issues resolved. Perfect!

Product Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
What does the Caterpillar Secondary Fuel Filter 1R0766 do?
The 1R0766 is a secondary (final stage) fuel filter that removes fine particulates, water, and contaminants from diesel fuel before it reaches the injectors. In modern Caterpillar HEUI and common-rail engines, fuel cleanliness is critical ??? even microscopic debris can damage precision injector components. The secondary filter is your last line of defense before the fuel injection system.
How often should I replace the 1R0766 fuel filter?
Caterpillar typically recommends fuel filter replacement every 500 hours of operation or as specified in your equipment's Operation and Maintenance Manual. In dusty or dirty environments, or when running lower-quality diesel, you may need to change it more frequently. Always replace the primary and secondary filters at the same time.
What are the symptoms of a clogged or failing fuel filter?
A restricted fuel filter can cause hard starting, loss of power under load, rough idling, engine misfires, excessive black smoke, or unexpected shutdowns. If you notice any of these symptoms, replace the fuel filter as a first diagnostic step before investigating more complex fuel system issues.
Is the 1R0766 a high-quality aftermarket filter?
Yes. The 1R0766 fuel filter from Propel Parts is a high-quality aftermarket replacement that meets or exceeds OEM specifications for micron rating, filtration efficiency, and flow rate. It is manufactured to ensure the same level of injector protection as the original Caterpillar filter.
Which Caterpillar machines and engines does the 1R0766 fit?
The 1R0766 fits a range of Caterpillar equipment models. For the most accurate fitment confirmation, check your machine's Operation and Maintenance Manual or reach out to Propel Parts ??? our team can verify compatibility using your model and serial number.
Can I install the 1R0766 fuel filter myself?
Yes, fuel filter replacement is a straightforward maintenance task. Relieve fuel system pressure, remove the old filter, lightly lubricate the new filter's O-ring with clean diesel fuel, and tighten to the manufacturer's specification. Bleed the fuel system after installation to remove air before starting the engine.
Where can I find more fuel system parts for my Caterpillar equipment?
For injectors, fuel pumps, and other related components, browse the full selection of heavy equipment fuel system parts at Propel Parts ??? organized by part type for quick, easy identification.
