Conversion Notes

When converting a Caterpillar D6M-XL from SystemOne to Conventional undercarriage, the following points apply:

  • All components must be replaced simultaneously. SystemOne and conventional components are not interchangeable and cannot be mixed on the same machine.
  • Track guides, idler scrapers, and idler end guards typically require modification during the conversion process. Consult your dealer or a qualified technician before beginning the conversion.
  • Track shoe width: The D6M-XL accepts 22" or 24" track shoes. Confirm the correct width for your application before ordering.
  • Roller design variants: The D6M-XL uses either the Former Design (integrated end collars, OEM 1210824/1210827) or the Latest Design (separate end caps, OEM 3104912/3104915) lower rollers. Confirm which design your machine uses before ordering.
